What we did

GOAL

Dorian gave us free hand with the project, so we decided to do something that has never been done before in Romania: a 1:1 3D printed statue that looks exactly like Dorian.

In the first step, we 3D scanned Dorian with the same technology that Obama was scanned with in order to obtain an accurate 3D model.

Then, we had a little bit of fun with the virtual Dorian.

The 3rd step was to 3D print it at a 1:1 scale and afterwards, the 3D printed pieces were put together and an artist started to paint the mannequin.

In total, there were hundreds of hours spent creating the mannequin but we believe that it was all worth it!
